to the house from the airport: [see
map]
Go down the road from the airport to the Queen's highway. You will exit the airport, go down the hill and come to a roundabout, or traffic circle. Technically, you are making a right hand turn, but since you drive on the other side in Exuma, you go left around the circle and get on the Queen's Highway (should be going south). A mile down the road you pass a big road coming in from right. It is the road to Moss Town (do not take it, it's just a landmark). About a mile and a half past there you will see a nice house on the left with LOTS of coconut trees along the road. We are 2 houses past it - also on the left. Ours is a two story stone house. The garage door is on the first floor and is kind of yellow. There is a wooden shed by the road with a very small PARADISE POINT sign on it. Pull into the driveway just two feet past the shed. The entrance to the main apartment is up the steps around to the ocean side of the house. On your way from the airport to Paradise Point, if you come to a small construction site with two connected homes and a small white shack - you have gone too far. This is our neighbor Gianni, who lives on the Georgetown (southern) side of us. So if coming from the airport, a landmark to say you've gone too far. If coming from town, Gianni's is a landmark to say the house is next. You'll get the hang of it after a day or so. In the event you get really turned around, our caretaker is Fredricka (Freddie) Glass, her number is (242) 345 0144 - she'll help you find your way. |
